.
One wonders where the past decade or so went.
For me, the bulk of it went on back East and overseas. Most of it was a blur, and it's getting blurrier (for which I'm thankful). The less I write about what I did, the better off I'll be. As I can't talk about most of it, that's reason enough to not talk about any of it.
During those years I was fortunate enough to fly back to SLO for a week or so every few months. It was wonderful to be back with family and friends, but it was less than wonderful to see what was becoming of my town.
As you might suppose, I had lots of observations. I also had no time to write about them. That will probably change now that I'm retired (as of the end of 2018) and back home.
It took some time and head-scratching to remember the password to this blog and delete some of the old posts (been there and done that at least once before).
I promised Mrs. O'Neill that we would be taking trips anywhere she'd like. That means there may be gaps in posting ahead. Honestly, I doubt many will notice. That's fine; mostly I'm doing this for my enjoyment.
Hang on, and lets see where my flights of fancy take us.
